It’s that
time of year for Tuesday Forum to begin at the library, and our first event is
sure to be a memorable musical experience!
Join us on Tuesday, September 4th, 11am to 1pm for: “Singing
the Good Old Songs Again,” a musical program provided by Jackie Davidson
and Gary Brandt. They combine “classic”
and original folk songs into an energetic, entertaining and fun show, with lots
of humor, personal stories, audience interaction and participation. Jackie is
an original member of the Grammy Award winning group, The New Christy
Minstrels, and a former member of the duo, “Jackie and Gayle.” She has performed at the White House,
Carnagie Hall, The Red Skelton Show, The Andy Williams Show, Hullabaloo,
Shindig and the Tonight Show. Singer,
songwriter and folklorist, Gary Brandt, carries on the tradition of folk music
with a 12 string guitar, a good song, a humorous story and a voice that
reflects the rich tradition.... of American Folk Music. He and Jackie have
been performing together across the country since 2010.
A light luncheon will be served and space is limited, so be
sure to call the library to reserve a seat!
