Join us on Tuesday, October 29th, 2013 from 11 am
to 1pm, for our October Tuesday Forum Luncheon, and a special violin
performance by teen violinist Lucy Burnham.
Lucy is a fifteen-year-old homeschool student, who began playing the
violin at age eight. By age nine, she
was playing with the Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestra, and held a principle
chair at age twelve. Lucy was concert
mistress at Kneisal Hall, and has also played with the University of Maine
orchestra. In addition to the violin,
Lucy plays the viola, the piano and has also studied voice. She has enjoyed working with, and encouraging
other musicians through orchestral ensembles, recitals and student teacher
shadowing. She has a remarkable talent,
and her desire and ability to connect with her audience and other musicians, is
engaging and adds a special tone to the performance.
Space is limited, so please call the library by October 25th
to reserve a seat: 827-3972.
